10月20日，西班牙马德里石油与催化研究所Bañares教授访问国重室，并为我室师生作了题为Raman Spectroscopy to Understand Structure-Activity Relationships in Catalysis; from operando on powder and Shaped Catalysts to real-time liquid phase reaction monitoring的学术报告。
       报告人简介： Miguel A. Ba ñ ares is Research Professor and Associate Editor, Catalysis Today (Elsevier). Obtained his PhD in 1992 (University of Salamanca, 1992). He was Chairman, Management Committee of COST Action D36 (ESF), 2006-2011and is Vice-Chairman, Management Committee of COST Action TD1404 MODENA (ESF).

  He has been Deputy Vice President of the Spanish National Research Council, CSIC in 2014-2015. He was awarded a “chaire d’excellence” at ENSICaen-CNRS (FEDER-Region Base the Normandie, France) in 2013 and “Otto Mønsted Visiting Professor” Award at the Denmark Technical University, DTU, in 2014.

  Ba ñ ares is Editorial Board Member of Catalysis Today (since 2003), Applied Catalysis (2004-2009), Catalysis Letters (since 2006), Topics in Catalysis (since 2006) among others, and member of the founding international advisory board of Operando Conferences and has been co-organizer of Operando-I, III and IV conferences, and main organizer of Operando-II conference in 2006.

  Ba ñ ares has more than 200 publications in international journals and an “h” factor of 40 with more than 30 plenary/keynote lectures. He focuses his activity on selective (amm)oxidation reactions or alkanes and new concepts on renewables valorization, environmental catalysis. In every case, he aims at combining advanced spectroscopy of catalysts at work (operando methodology). Recently, he has opened a research on the reactive basis of nanoparticle toxicity.
